Solution for Getting Out Difficult Screw on End Cap of Thule Bike Rack

Im having trouble getting the old end caps off. The screws are really stuck. Any suggestions?

The screws that hold the end caps # 853-2181 can be pretty tight. You may try spraying the screw with a lubricant like WD40 to help release it. The thicker the grip is on your screwdriver the more leverage on the screw you will have.
I have been able to get tough screws out before pretty easily by just switching to a thicker gripped screwdriver.
