Will Integrated Brake Controller in 2015 Chevy Silverado work with Electric Over Hydraulic Brake
Question:
To start I have a 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 with integrated brake controller. I am looking to convert my boat trailer to electric-hydraulic with the titan BrakeRite T4813100. 1. can the unit itself be mounting inside a trailer tongue box or does it need to be exposed to air for cooling proposes? 2. will I need a had a brake controller adaptor or am I fine with the factory one. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # T4813102 that you referenced does not require large amounts of ventilation. Having it in a box along the frame of your trailer would be fine.
Your 2015 Chevy Silverado integrated brake controller SHOULD work fine with this actuator as in 2015 Chevy started installing brake controllers in their trucks that are compatible with electric over hydraulic actuators. We have found that typically an aftermarket one like the P2 # 90885 will work best. But yours should work just fine.
