Distance from Rear Mounting Bracket to Rear of Box on Yakima Skybox 21
Question:
How close to the rear of the box do the mounts go? Is the box stiff enough for ~ 3.5foot overhang in front?

I spoke to my contact at Yakima and the minimum clearance from the rear crossbar mount to the rear lip of the Yakima Skybox 21 Cargo Box is 24 inches. The max would be 32.
The front of the box couldn't physically hang over 3-1/2 feet since the max distance from the crossbar attachment point to the front of the box is 33 inches.
My contact did say that 3-1/2 feet (if it were possible), would be way too much overhang for this box.
