Will Enclosed Trailer Door Hook and Keeper 383400 Work on a Heavy Horse Trailer Door
Question:
I have a horse trailer with one large rear door that opens to the right. Steel frame with aluminum skin but quite heavy. Is this hook sturdy enough to hole a door like this open?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Even though the door on your horse trailer is heavy the door keeper # 383400 will still hold it open. Nearly all of the door's weight will be on the hinges and the keeper is just preventing it from closing. The keeper is not really supporting any weight so it will work well for you. I have linked a video showing an example installation.
