Troubleshooting Wiring When Trailer Right Blinker And Running Light Do Not Work
Question:
The right blinker and taillight were not working on my trailer so I rewired the entire trailer with new wire and I even bought a new light for the right side. However, when I tested my trailer it was the same exact problem. I then went back the store and was going to buy a new harness for my 2006 GMC Yukon Denali but the sales guy was nice enough to allow me to test a new one before purchasing it, and still the same problem.

The problem you are describing is normally associated with a ground problem, whether it is a weak ground or not connected securely to a clean, bare metal surface, or even a break in the ground wire, but since you said you tested the harness on your Yukon it sounds like the problem is with the vehicle.
You will want to make sure there is no sign of corrosion or dirt on the vehicle connector. Then you can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 and have someone run through all the functions while you check each pin for function. You can check the wires going into the back of the connector on your Yukon and find where it is connected to the vehicle car connector which should be located up by the spare tire under the back. Disconnect your harness and test each of the pins on the car connector. You may have a fuse blown or a broken wire from that connector up to the front of the vehicle.
At that point, if you find the fuses are good and still having the same problem, I recommend installing a new trailer wiring harness as if you had no connector. I recommend the Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit, part # C59236. You can check out the wiring diagram in the attached installation instructions.
You said you have replaced the wiring on the trailer and the light on the trailer as well. You want to make sure the ground for each light is secured to a bare metal surface on the trailer. You can use sandpaper or a rotary tool to remove any paint or corrosion to get the bare metal surface for the ground.
