For a boat trailer with 1000-lb tongue weight (TW) and surge brakes I suggest the Equalizer 4-Point System # EQ37121ET along with Weight Distribution Shank # EQ90-02-4300. This system is fully compatible with surge brakes and works with trailer TW up to 1200-lbs. The shank provides adjustable rise up to 10-inches. The system includes a 2-5/16-inch hitch ball. We also offer a thin-walled socket # EQ70-00-4800 to make it easier to install your hitch ball.
You may need a pole tongue adapter if your trailer is not an a-frame. An item like # RP58393 provides an attachment point for the WD system.
Its a good idea to check your hitch safety sticker to confirm it is rated for use with WD systems.
