Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for a 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 Long Bed
Question:
I have a 2015 3500 crew cab standard box with duramax. Looking at the curt Q16 hitch. Is this the best match for this vehicle? The trailer we will be purchasing has a dry weight of about 8800#. Also would like to know what is the best accessory install kit. Do i have to drill into the frame, or does GM have that done already? Thanks,

Curt makes decent hitches that work great. But if you wanted the best match for your 2015 Chevy Silverado with a long bed I would point you towards the Reese M5 Fifth Wheel trailer hitch part # RP30928 instead. Since you have a long bed you would not need the slider of the Q16 that you referenced either.
The Reese has one of the nicest jaw designs on the market that will ensure you a quiet and secure connection. I attached a review video for you to check out as well.
For a rail kit a custom kit will be your best option as it will install in about half the time and will minimize drilling. For that you would want the part # RP56001-53. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
