5th Wheel Trailer hitch Rides Too High In the Front when Hitches to 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
What is the best way to raise new 2015 Jayco fifth wheel camper hitched to 2015 Silverado 2500 2 x 2? I was thinking about going up 2inch with a Correct-Track, but I might actually need to go up higher. I cant lower the hitch because I am already at 5.5-6inch of clearance above the bed rails. I also am considering over under flipping kits. Do these flipping kits require welding to the axle, and if not how do they keep from spinning when braking hard? Will installing these most likely void my new unit warranty?

If you do think raising the trailer in the back is the way to go then you may be able to use an over/under conversion kit if:
The trailer leaf spring stack is currently mounted under the axles
The trailer uses double-eye springs
And the trailer has 2-3/8 inch or 3 inch diameter round axles
For a 2-3/8 inch round axle use # K71-384-00 and for a 3 inch diameter axle use # K71-385-00. In some circumstances, welding will be required. The new spring seats in the kits basically clamp around the axle and everything is still attached with u-bolts so the spring seats physically can't get forced far out of position.
If you cannot use an over/under conversion kit then the only other way to raise the height of the trailer is to have the old suspension hangers cut off and new, taller ones welded on by a qualified professional welder. I have included a link to the hanger main page for you.
To determine if any of these options void the warranty I recommend speaking with the trailer dealer. This is a common issue and I am certain that it's taken into consideration from a warranty stand point.
