Question:
I wanted to double check that the reese 66074 will fit on an 8 inch trailer frame. It is a box frame that is 2 inches wide by 8 inches tall. Thanks for the assistance.

Expert Reply:
The Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution with Sway Control # RP66074 would fit on your trailer frame, since it is not more than 2-1/2 inches wide.
However, because of the height of the trailer frame, I recommend using the Reese Chain Hangers for Reese Weight Distribution Systems # RP58305 in place of the hangers that come with the system. The hangers # RP58305 will bolt onto the trailer frame and can be placed at an appropriate height for the load bar arms. These hangers will also ensure there is enough room under the frame for the dual cam sway control arms to operate effectively.
