Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Recommendation for Keystone Passport 2670BH
Question:
We are looking at purchasing our first travel trailer and are looking at the Blue Ox SwayPro hitch. Can you recommend what size bar we will need for a Keystone Passport 2670BH with GVW of 7000 lbs and tongue weight of 625 lbs Im assuming that is a dry tongue weight? We will be towing with a 2004 Chevy Tahoe Z71 with factory tow package with 1000 lb tongue and7500 lbs max tow capacity.

When choosing a weight distribution system, you will want to select a system based on your trailer's loaded and ready to tow tongue weight. Choosing a system with a tongue weight rating that is too low will be essentially useless in distributing the trailer's weight, and a system that has a tongue weight rated too high will cause a very stiff, rigid ride.
With a tongue weight of 625 pounds, you would want to use the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution with Sway Control # BXW0750. This system is rated for use with trailers that have tongue weights between 550 pounds - 750 pounds. As long as the loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your trailer is between 550-750 pounds this system will work well for you. This will fit a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver and has a gross towing weight of 8,000 pounds.
This system uses a hitch ball with a 1-1/4 inch diameter shank. For a 2 inch diameter hitch ball you can use # A-90. For a 2-5/16 inch diameter hitch ball you can use # 19286.
I have attached a demo video from the manufacturer and a help article on weight distribution systems for you.
