Do you have any complaints or returns on these fans? Is a shroud require? I have street rod no hood.

Haven't had any issues with the Derale Fan part # D17313 that you referenced. You will want a shroud though otherwise it won't pull enough air through the radiator. When I had a vehicle that had a mechanical fan not having the fan close enough to the shroud caused the vehicle to overheat. Failure to have a shroud all together will cause the vehicle to overheat at a stop.
We do not sell shrouds for use with mechanical fans, but you would need to have a shroud on your vehicle that is designed to work with 13 inch diameter fan blade.
