Ball Mount Recommendation For Use with Curt Clamp-On 3 Bike Towing Rack
Question:
it says needs 1 1/2 inches to attach to the shank, i only have about 1 inch. I have a draw-tite hitch i got from you all for a 2014 Subaru OB, and i am towing a 15 ft trailer weighing about 1800# . Cant find my order number, but you fixed me up with the approp SUbaru ball mount part, last July. I assume that is the part to be replaced? thanks

It looks like you previously ordered the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount 3/4 Inch Rise or 2 Inch Drop, 10,000 Pounds # AMSC2. Another great option for a ball mount with the same rise, drop, hitch ball shank size, and towing capacity is the Curt Trailer Hitch Ball Mount 3/4 Inch Rise or 2 Inch Drop # D-4.
The measurement from the center of the pin hole to the center of the ball hole on the Draw-Tite ball mount you own is 8-1/2 inches. The Curt ball mount measures 10-1/4 inches from the center of the pin hole to the center of the ball hole, giving you an additional 1-3/4 inches to mount the Curt 3-Bike Clamp-On Rack, part # C18013
