What Is Torque Rating For Hitch Balls Used In Cushioned Ball Mount For 2-1/2 Inch Receiver Opening
Question:
Since the 2 cushioned ball mounts for my 2 1/2 inch hitch one with a 2 5/16 inch ball and the other one with a 2 inch ball are not coming pre-mounted I was wondering what they need to be torqued to so I can have them installed properly by my local shop.

For a cushioned ball mount like the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount, part # AMSCV-4, it uses hitch balls with a 1-1/4 inch shank.
For a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball I recommend part # 19286 and for a 2 inch hitch ball I recommend part # A-90. The torque rating for both of these hitch balls is 450 ft. lbs.
