Best Fifth Wheel Towing Setup Recommendation for a 2015 Ram 3500 with Hitch Prep

I have a 2015 Dodge Ram 3500 short bed that already has factory tow prep installed. I need the reason for this email a hitch and a kingpin so Im told. And I have also been told that the Reese airborne sidewinder with sliders is the way to go. Can you advise if you have this? Thank You

A Sidewinder pin box is the way to go when towing a fifth wheel trailer with a truck with a short bed truck like your 2015 Ram 3500 with hitch prep package.

You will need to remove the pin box of the trailer and replace it with a Sidewinder pin box. Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.

There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.

Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have. At the link you will see two columns. One for a standard Sidewinder and one for with a 5th Airborne Sidewinder. The 5th Airborne aspect means that it is cushioned.

For a hitch then you would want the B and W Companion part # BWRVK3600 to fit the hitch prep package of your truck. You will also need the wedge part # SWW-06 to use this hitch with a Sidewinder.
