Brake Controller Recommendation for a Winnebago Towing a Car Dolly with Electric Brakes
Question:
What would be a good brake controller for use with a Winnebago 35F towing a tow dolly withe electric brakes and carring a Hyundia Elantra?

Helpful Expert Reply:
For your Winnebago I recommend a proportional brake controller. A proportional brake controller applies the brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces brake wear and tear on the tow vehicle and the tow dolly.
I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable. The brake controller will need to be hardwired in since there isn't a wiring harness that allows the controller to plug directly into the Winnebago.
To determine what additional parts you will need to install the controller I will need to know if your Winnebago has a trailer connector and if so what kind it is (4-Way flat, 7-Way blade style).
