Why Would Cruise Control Stop Working After Brake Controller Install

ux power line location may be wrong. I FOUND A HOT PIN AND USED IT, Cruise control quit working after installing this unit on my 2003 chev 1500HD

When cruise control stops working after a brake controller installation that issue is that the red wire of the controller (stop light circuit), is attached to the wrong circuit under the dash of the vehicle.

It sounds like you figured it out. But you need to use the stoplight circuit that only sees voltage when the brake are applied.
