Adding a Trailer Connector to a 2005 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
have a 2005 toyota tacoma with a factory installed trailer towing package, there is a 7 wire female wiring plug hanging down, and a place for the trailer plug on the hitch.. and was wondering if i can get the short pigtail that goes from the female 7 wire plug to the plug in on the trailer hitch..any info would be greatly apprecitated...Thanks

It sounds like you need the harness that would normally go from the back of the trailer connector to another harness further forward on the truck. That is going to be a part you would have to get from the parts department from a Toyota dealer.
The only trailer wiring harnesses we have for your truck plug in line with the vehicle tail lights, such as # 118496, and provide a 4-Way flat connector at the rear. Then to add a 7-Way you would need # ETBC7. I have included a few links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
