The magnet wires are brake assembly # 23-468 are 16 gauge. When it comes to wiring for electric trailer brake magnets you can attach a larger gauge wire to the smaller brake magnet wire. Ten gauge wire is commonly used in trailer manufacturing for electric brakes even if the short wires from the magnets are smaller.
