How Would the Trailer Light Wire as a Third Brake Light

Hi, Im looking at purchasing the trailer light STL22RB as a third brake light on my truck the current 3rd brake light is covered by a bed rack. Is it possible to wire the light so it only comes on with the brakes and not as a tail light? Thanks,

To install the trailer light part # STL22RB on your truck you will also need the harness part # A47PB. The red wire is for the brighter stop turn function so you would just need to wire that to the same circuit as your third brake light. The black wire is for the running light circuit and since you don't need that circuit it wouldn't get used.
