Troubleshooting Tekonsha Voyager that Shows Trailer Connection All the Time
Question:
My brake controller shows a green indicator at all times. I removed the wire connected from the brake controller harness blue wire and the light went out. I severed the connection near the rear of the vehicle and the light went out. With the wire plugged in , the light is always on. The 7 way connector is a curt unit #57674 with led display. All parts are brand new and were installed on my 2015 Ford Transit 350, by my dealers installer. My trailer brakes do not work.

The green light being on your Tekonsha Voyager part # 39510 means that your controller is sensing a slight load and it think it is connected to a brake controller. Since yours is on all the time when connected to your new 7-way that would indicate that you have a short somewhere between where you cut the wire and the 7-way. Typically this happens when there is corrosion on the pins of a 7-way. Since the connector is brand new this wouldn't be likely. You should inspect the pins of the 7-way looking for any of them that are bent and possibly shorting out to a different one.
Otherwise the connector itself would have to be bad since the problem has been isolated to it.
