First you will need to start with a base plate kit, the Blue Ox base plate kit part # BX2258 would be an excellent choice.

Next, you will need a tow bar. For that I would go with the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 as it is the most popular tow bar we have with other CRV owners. This come with safety cables.

For tow bar wiring I would recommend the Hopkins Kit part # HM56304. This will plug in line with your taillights and allow the tow vehicle to activate the turn signals and brake lights. I attached an install video for you to check out.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
