If your 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 has a factory 7-way at the rear of it all you would need is the install harness part # 3021-P to install the Prodigy P3 brake controller part # 90195.
Otherwise you would need to start with a 4-way if you didn't have one, part # 18252 and then go with the part # ETBC7 to convert the 4-way to a 7-way and install the controller.
If you have a 4-way already you would instead need the controller, the # 3021-P, and the # 37185.
Usually located under the driver's side of the vehicle, right behind the front wheel well is a wire connector. As you can see in the picture there are more wires on the hood side (right side) of the connector than the hitch side. Using a circuit tester you can locate the wire that supplies power to the trailer brakes. Usually it is the blue one. Using a quick-splice, run a wire lead from the blue wire to the back of the vehicle. Enough wire will be needed to make it from the front wheel well to the end of the truck bed.
