Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195 Installation Using Harness # 3024P for 2015 Ram 1500

have this harness but do not have any brake feed power in truck plug for brake controller how do i find it or turn it on

Your 2015 Ram 1500 uses multiplex wiring which operates with very low current and if you are using an incandescent light type tester like # PTW2993 you will not detect either a 12V power signal or a brake light switch signal.

My contact at Tekonsha advised that you should install the P3 controller # 90195 and the harness # 3024-P and then press the brake pedal to see if the unit is getting 12V power and a brake light switch signal. Keep in mind that with a proportional controller like the P3 you will not get a full power brake signal when the vehicle is still.

You may also be able to tap into the third brake light wire to obtain your braking signal.
