Brake Controller and Install Harness Recommendation for a 2015 Ford Escape

Question:

I purchased a 2015 Ford Escape AWD with an Eco-boost engine. I also had a the factory install a Class II hitch with a 4 prong plug. I want to buy a used Pop-up camper but it has a 7 prong plug.. The camper has electric brakes and the GVWR is 2800 lbs. I need to purchase a good electrical brake. And I need something that will plug in to the current wiring harness that I have under the dashboard. And the correct adapter to change the current 4 prong to a 7 prong. I am looking for QUALITY not cheap system. Items need: Brake under the dashboard Plugs from brake to wiring under the dashboard Bracket for the brake A conversion from current 4 prong plug to a 7 prong plug. Thank You for your time and SUGGESTIONS I am open to more than one options

You would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.

There isn't a plug-in harness available for your 2015 Ford Escape for the installation of a brake controller so you would have to go with the # ETBC7.
