Replacement 4-Way Trailer Connector for a 2001 Ford Escape with Factory 4-Way
Question:
My factory installed vehicle trailer wire 4-way plug has corroded on my 2001 Ford Escape 3.0L. The other end of the harness look like a round plug. Do you have a replacement part for this? I want to avoid having to splice wires.

Expert Reply:
The replacement 4-Way trailer connectors for the 2001 Ford Escape with Factory tow package that we carry have square connectors, # C55255. If you follow your 4-Way wiring forward on the vehicle and it does have a square connector then you can use either of these replacements. If it does not then the only option would be to either splice in a new 4-Way using # 18252 or replace the whole harness using # 118343.
