Powering Camper With 7-Way On Bumper, Have Battery Isolation Relay, Will It Draw Down Main Battery

Question:

I am currently powering my slide in camper by running from the 7 way plug at the bumper.I installed a battery isolation relay and am thinking it will draw down my main battery.I want to draw from the aux. battery only when camped.Thank you

If your battery isolation relay is installed properly it will only draw from the main battery when it is reading current from the alternator or when vehicle key is in the ON position. When your vehicle is OFF it should only be drawing current from the auxiliary battery.

We do have a Two Battery Universal Isolator Kit, # DW08771, that will give you the proper current control to each battery.
