Recommended Ball Mount and 1-7/8 Inch Trailer Ball for OEM Hitch on 2015 Ford F150
Question:
I have a 2015 F150 with a factory installed Class IV hitch. I need to buy whatever is needed to get a 1 and 7/8 inch ball. Can you tell me what I need to buy? Thank you.

A Class IV hitch would have a receiver that measures 2 x 2 inches. You'd need to measure the height of the receiver opening versus the level height of your trailer coupler, in order to choose a ball mount with the proper rise or drop. I'll link you to an FAQ article that shows how to measure to determine which ball mount would work best for you.
I'll link you to our selection of ball mounts that would be appropriate for use with a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball. Choose the one with the closest rise/drop to what you're needing. Most all the ball mounts shown are compatible with 1-7/8 inch trailer balls that have a 1 inch diameter shank, like the # 19260.
