Installation of Reese Goose Box RP94720 to Replace Lippert 1621 Pin Box

Question:

I have asked a few questions on this part already and have received great timely responses. I have asked this last question to a few other vendors and could NOT get an answer. So I am returning to whom I feel confident in answering. I currently have the Lippert 1716 pin box on my 5th wheel with a Ranch Hitch gooseneck adapter. I am wanting to upgrade to the Reese Goose Box. I see that the measurement from the bottom where the ball mounts to the first set of holes on the goose box is 19.2. My current set up is 21 1/2inch from the bottom of the bell up to the first set of holes. How do I mount the Reese Goose Box to maintain the same distance/height/level? Is there a significant difference between the bottom portions of where the ball mounts on the two. Ive seen set up pictures on the Reese Goose Box that the ball barely looks like it is in there. The bell of the Ranch hitch nearly touches the liner in the bed of the truck and no part of the ball can be seen. I have seen a High Rise BandW ball that adds an extra 1inch to the height. What can you offer in the way of answering this? I dont want to spend $1000 + if it wont work

We offer a Reese Goose Box, part # RP85FR, that is a direct bolt-on replacement for a Lippert 1621 pin box. The Goose Box includes an enclosed air bag and dual shock absorbers that provide cushioning and absorb road shock.

Like any pin box the Goose Box can be height-adjusted by using the upper and lower holes on your trailer's pin box mounting wings. The linked diagram shows recommended trailer clearance measurements, for your reference.
