Troubleshooting Left Turn/Stop Signal Not Functioning on Horse Trailer

Question:

I have running lights and have switched the right and left to make sure it is not the light itself. If i hook up as it should be it will not flash for turn or illuminate for brake. If i put the yellow in the tail light brown wire location on light it will flash and show brake but now I have no running light. I have regrounded to assure I have a good ground at the light. Help!

Most likely the issue is still ground related, but what you can do is test the wires you are using with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to verify that the wires you are trying to power the part # 432200 carry the correct circuit. Once you know the wires are correct you will want to try running a jumper wire for the ground of the light to better location.

You can also check to make sure the main ground wire of the trailer is connected to a clean metal surface as well.

You can also check the connectors on the trailer for corrosion and clean as possible.
