What Hitch and Bike Rack would Be Best for a 2007 Honda Fit

Question:

Hi! I have a 2007 Honda FIT, and Id like to add a 1 1/4 hitch with a bike rack that is easy to attach and can be moved to the side or out of the way when the hatch is opened. I watched the video and read about the Kuat light weight alumn. hitches, and wonder which one would be best for a car so small. I have been told that I need a Hide-a-Hitch. What would be best for a small car like mine?

For a trailer hitch fit for your 2007 Honda Fit, I recommend part # 24776 from Draw-Tite. Curt also has a hitch available for a Fit, but will only fit the 5 door Sport models.

The hitches available for the Fit, since it is so small, are all Class I hitches. That being the case, you will need to select a bike rack that will fit Class I hitches. I have added a link to all the Class I bike racks below. You can use the filters on the top and side of the page to narrow down your results.

Kuat makes great hitch bike racks, they are some of the highest quality racks on the market. Since they are all aluminum construction, they are very light weight which makes them much easier to install and remove from a hitch. All of the Kuat racks for Class I hitches tilt down to promote access to the trunk/hatch. The Kuat NV 2.0, part # NV12G does it the best with the use of a pull pin. If you just need to carry one or two bikes, the Kuat Beta, part # B202-114 would be the lightest option. I have added a link to all the Kuat racks for Class I hitches below.
