Recommended Lock for Thule Hitch-Mount Bike Rack

i have a Thule bike rack for my ford explorer hitch. Looks like around 1 to 1 1/4 inch thick. Interested in getting a lock for the hitch. what solution do you recommend.

The available hitch fits for a Ford Explorer will vary by model year and most are the 2-inch Class III types are available. For example, a 2000 model year could be fitted with a 2-inch like # 13540. Let us know a year and we will see if we can get you a 1-1/4" hitch for you.

If your Thule hitch rack is one of those listed as compatible with Thule's Snug Tite Hitch Lock # THSTL2 then this is the correct lock to use. It uses a 1/2-inch diameter threaded pin and both reduces rattle and locks the carrier.
