Rhino Rack Roof Rack and Bar Location Recommendations for a 2015 Honda CRV Naked Roof

Question:

on crv 2015 with smooth roof. Is the forward Rhino rack mounted a certain distance from the B piller? If so what is distance? Is the spread distance 700mm defined by the rack or the car? With past cars I have used 3M clear bra 8 mil film under the area on the roof that the foot of the rack mounts to avoid scratching. Sound OK?

When you install the Rhino Rack roof rack for your 2015 Honda CR-V that consists of part numbers # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK284 you will need to follow the fit instructions that say to mount the front bar 300 mm in front of the seam between the front and rear door. The rear bar will install 750 mm behind the front bar measured on center.

These dimensions were chosen by Rhino Rack based on what would fit the vehicle the best and where the vehicle is the strongest for bearing the weight of roof mounted cargo.
