Digital Display on Curt TriFlex Brake Controller Just Shows an L
Question:
I have a 2005 Chevy 1500 HD and now the display has a L. in display and does not change when trailer is connected . WHY???

The L. display should show up on the Curt TriFlex brake controller # C24VV, when it is plugged in. When you are installing the controller, the trailer should not be connected.
The lever or button on the left side of the controller is the sensitivity adjustment. The L. should change when that lever is moved. You can also try resetting the controller by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in (without the trailer connected). If these things do not fix the issue then there is likely a problem inside the controller and it will need to be replaced.
