Replacement Trailer Tire Recommendation for a Travel Trailer with 215/75/15 Tires
Question:
We just bought a 1979 Wilderness travel trailer. It has been sitting for quite a while and the tires are dry rotted. They are 215/75/15. We have four size 14 rims that have the same bolt pattern. They are 195/75/14. Would it be ok to use the 14s to get the trailer home? Its about a 3 hour drive.

You will need to check the weight capacity of the tires that you plan to use as the replacements and then compare to the weight of the trailer to determine if what you are intending to do is safe.
If you have enough tire capacity for your trailer you would be just fine.
Since the tire size that is currently on the trailer isn't a standard trailer tire size it would wonder if it has passenger vehicle tires instead.
For replacements when you get the trailer back the part # AM10303 would be a great option as this is a Load Range E tire with plenty of capacity. I attached a review video of the tire for more info.
