In order to find the correct replacement bearings and bearing buddies for your ShoreLand'r Profile 2000, we will need to know the current bearing part numbers. If you cannot find the part numbers, we will need to take some measurements.
First, we will need to know the measurements of the bearing seats of the inner bearing and the outer bearing. To find these measurements, you will want to measure your spindle at locations C and D in the diagram I have attached. This will help us find these bearing inner diameters.
It is usually necessary to replace the grease seal when replacing the bearings. If you cannot find the grease seal's part number, you will want to measure at position B in the attached diagram. The inner diameter of the new grease seal will need to be slightly smaller than the measurement of B. This is so the grease seal sits tightly on the spindle. We will also need to know the outer diameter of the grease seal. As long as the old seal isn't too damaged, you can measure it to find the outer diameter. If the old seal is too damaged, you can measure the diameter of the hub where the grease seal will sit to find the outer diameter.
In order to pick out the correct bearing buddy, you will need to know the hub bore of your hub. It is best to measure the hub bore with a digital caliper in order to get the most accurate measurement. The bore of the hub is found once the wheel and tire, and the grease cap, are removed. Clean the grease off the opening and measure to the thousandth of an inch. The most common hub bore measurement in 1.980 inch.
