Should D-Ring Tie Downs be Placed in the Center of 1 Board or Between 2 Boards on a Trailer Floor
Question:
My 18foot car hauler has 2X6inch treated lumber deck. Would it be better to center the hole for this tie down in the board or center it in the seam between the boards?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Since a 2x6 board is large enough for the whole D-ring tie down # RR05 you could go either way. But if you decide to put it between two boards I would center it between the two boards so that it is secured evenly. I also recommend using backing plate # BP05 to better disperse the weight on the floor.
