Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier and Bike Rack Recommendation

Question:

If a cargo carrier has a 500 lb limit, would it be fair to assume that it has a 500 lb TW limit too? I want to purchase a cargo carrier that has a straight 2inch extension tube such as part #C18151 and attach the Swagman Traveler XCS - Platform-Style 2 Bike Rack for 2inch Ball Mount - Towing part #S64664 to it. Just want to make sure there would be no weight issues as long as I dont exceed 500 lbs total between the bike rack, the bikes, and any load in the cargo carrier.

I have a solution for you, but you can't install a bike rack into the end of a cargo carrier like the part # C18151 as it was not designed for that and it wouldn't work.

Instead you would want the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Platform 4 Bike Rack w/ Cargo Carrier # HR1400Z-85 as this is both a hitch mounted carrier and a bike rack that would work well for you. I attached a review video for you to check out.

The cargo carrier only has a 90 lb capacity though so you would need to stay under that.
