Converter To Wire 4-Way Harness on 2008 Mitsibushi Outlander To 7-Way European Trailer Connector
Question:
Hi, I have just purchased a Curt Tow Harness for a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2008. The package comes with a 4 wire plug. However, our standard here is a 7 pin round? I just need to know how do I wire up the 7 pin plug when there is no brake wire red in the 4 pin plug? If both brake and tail signals are sent via the brown tail light wire, how do I route that to a trailer that has separate globes for tail and brake? Thanks

Expert Reply:
We do not carry the vehicle-side plug for a European 7-way round plug like you said is on your trailer. You will need to find one locally.
You can use the tail light converter like part # 118158, and along with a 4-way harness like part # 18004, you can make an adapter that will work for you. I have attached a photo with all of the wires for input and output noted you can check out.
