Recommended Rooftop Cargo Bag for 2006 Nissan Altima with Naked Roof
Question:
I am looking for a car top carrier. I have a 2006 4 door, 2.5l Nissan Altima. I measured my roof and it is 55inch long x 45inch Wide. I will be travelling accross country and have no roof racks. I was thinking the Rightline Sport 3 Carrier. What would you recommend? Thanks

I recommend a cargo bag designed to be able to work with a naked roof like part # RL100S30, which you referenced. This measures 48 inches long x 40 inches wide x 19 inches tall, with 18 cu ft of storage space. This cargo bag is waterproof so it is designed to keep your gear clean and dry.
To attach the cargo bag to the roof of your Altima I recommend the Car Clips for Rightline Rooftop Cargo Bags, part # RL100600. These attach to the straps on the cargo bag and attach to the door frames to hole the bag secure on your roof.
I also recommend using part # RL100650. This is a non-skid roof protection pad that you can place between the roof of your Altima and the cargo bag to help protect your vehicle finish.
You will want to make sure you do not exceed the weight capacity of your roof.
