According to our friends at Curt Manufacturing, their # C11480 Class I hitch is a fit for a 2006 Toyota Yaris Hatchback UNLESS it's an SE model. A hitch fit isn't available for the SE model.

If you're looking for a hitch mounted bike rack, the Swagman Trailhead, part # S63360 provides all the important features like sturdy rubber cradles and straps to hold the bikes securely and prevent them from swaying back and forth during travel and an anti-rattle hitch bolt to prevent the rack from wobbling around in the hitch. The rack is well constructed but reasonably priced. A locking hitch pin/cable lock combo is available as part # S64031.

If you have the SE model, a trunk mounted rack would be recommended. The Thule OutWay, part # TH45JV for the 2 bike model or # TH56BV for the 3 bike. The OutWay will carry your bikes safely, and the included locking system will secure both the rack and the bikes to deter theft.

If you'll be transporting women's bikes or bikes with sharply-angled top tubes, you might also consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, which provides a secondary attachment point for the bike rack. This allows the bike to be carried level, which maximizes ground clearance. I'll link you to a video showing how the adapter bar works.

A cargo carrying tray like part # C18110 would also be a handy accessory to have. The carrier measures 20 x 48 inches, and would provide extra storage for bulky items like coolers.
