Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2013 Ford F-150 with Varying Tongue Weights

Question:

I have a 2013 f150 5.0 4x4 with a max towing weight of 9k. I am going to be hauling a enclosed 6x14 enclosed cargo trailer daily at highway speeds 65 mph for 100 miles each way. The trailer will be any where from total cargo and trailer weight from 9k down to being empty. Since the total weight and tounge weight will vary dramatically. What would the best weight distribtuion to use? It would have to be an a quickly on the fly adjustable system, correct? I saw round bar, tunion and Anderson systems available. What would the best system be be a trailer that will be constantly changing weight?

Weight distribution systems are not easily adjustable for varying tongue weights. Basically you would have to re-set up the whole system for each tongue weight.

A better option for you would be suspension enhancement as the amount of support can easily be adjusted.

For that I would recommend the Firestone Air suspension kit part # F2525 as this will allow you to change the air pressure in the bags easily for the trailer you plan to tow.

You will also want a compressor kit like part # F2158 to allow you to easily change the pressure in the bags from the inside of your vehicle.
