Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2015 Volkswagen Golf TDI
Question:
hitch #C11412 Vehicle = 2015, VW Golf TDI, 5-door. I am trying to determine if the Yakima Holdup 1.25inch platform carrier and the Draw Tite #C11412 hitch fitted to a 2015 VW Golf TDI will work correctly. Thanks.

I have a bike rack solution I can recommend for you, but the Yakima Holdup 2 part # Y02445 that you referenced can only be used in Class II hitches. The Curt Hitch part # C11412 that has been confirmed as a fit for your 2015 Volkswagen Golf TDI is a Class I hitch so it would not be compatible with the Holdup.
For a similar bike rack that will fit the Class I hitch for your vehicle you would want the Thule T2 part # TH9045. This will clear your rear bumper and would work very well for you. Check out the review video I attached for more info.
