Replacement Trailer Springs for a 1972 Timberline 186 Trailer

Question:

I have a 1972 timberline 186. I have everything picked out to do a complete suspension replacement except for the leaf springs. I believe it has 2-2000 lb. axles that are square tubing 1 3/4inch by 1 3/4. When I measure eye to eye they appear to be 26 1/2. The front axles springs are 6 leaf, and the rears are 5 leaf. I dont see either of these available on your website. Please let me know what would be a good replacement set for what I have. Also my spring equalizer doesnt sit level. Should it? Thanks,

The reason your equalizer isn't sitting level is because you have two different sets of leaf springs on your trailer. Since you have one axle that has more leafs than the other that axle will want to sit higher which will cause the equalizer to sit out of level.

As long as you get the properly rated springs for your trailer the amount of leafs does not really matter.

The closest spring we have to what you would need would be the part # PR427 that is 27 inches long and has a 3k axle capacity. Since this is a bit too long you might need to move your hangers so that everything fits well.
