Brake Controller and 7-Way Recommendation for a 2013 Ford F-150

Question:

I need to install a 7-way connector to my 2013 F150 XLT Truck with 5.0L. I see a round connector attached under the truck near spare tire. I see a Brake Controller connector by the steering wheel. Which products do I need? Also, do I need a relay too? Do you have a universal Brake Controller adapter? thanks, 20119 Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4 Pole Trailer Connector

Sounds like you have the round connector that a 7-way like part # 74682 would attach to. If the connector matches the product pictures then this 7-way would work to complete your trailer wiring.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.

To install the harness all you would need is the correct harness, part # 22292.
