Brake Controller Recommendation and Install for a 2004 Ford F-150
Question:
I bought a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller #90885 for my Ford F150 to pull a 21foot two-axle trailer. Is this the right part? I feel like the local dealer was just trying to sell me the parts they had on hand... and I feel a little ripped off. I have provided a photo. Do I need to add any other parts, or will this do the job? Thank you for your help. I need to submit another question with another photo. I cant seems to add two photos to one email. Thanks,

From the pictures you submitted it looks like you bought a 7-way adapter and an isolation solenoid to install your Prodigy P2 # 90885. The solenoid is not something we normally recommend for people unless they need the 12 volt power circuit of the 7-way to turn off when the vehicle engine turns off.
All you would have needed to install the brake controller in your 2004 Ford F-150 is the part # 3035-P. If you only happen to have a 4-way trailer wiring harness you would also need the part # 118247.
I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
