Weight Distribution System for 2015 Ford Explorer Sport Towing Kiefer Aluminum Car Hauling Trailer
Question:
I am towing an aluminum Kiefer car hauler trailer with a 2015 Ford Explorer Sport. I have verified with Kiefer that it is ok to use a WD Hitch. Which hitch do you recommend? Trailer and cargo weigh 3950 lbs. Car specs say 500 lb TW and 5000 lb maximum tow weight, I want exceed the recommended towing capacity of the Explorer. I am asking because of the configuration of the trailers tounge. I will attach a picture to your reply email and send it back since it want let me do it here... Thanks in advance for your help..I want to purchase a weight distribution hitch over the next few days.

This system is designed for trailers with a maximum tongue weight of 550 lbs and since the heaviest allowable tongue weight for the 2015 Ford Explorer Sport is 500 lbs, this system has you fully covered.
Everything that you need is included, if you ever need a replacement hitch ball you can use, # A-90 for 2 inch or # 19286 for 2-5/16 inch.
