Husky Fifth Wheel Hitch and Wedge Recommendation for Use with Sidewinder/Reese Revolution
Question:
I have a 6.5foot bed and a sidewinder/reese resolution pin box. I read on this hitch that this type of pin box will reduce the towing and vertical weight. How much weight and is it safe for me to purchase this hitch.

Sidewinders/Reese Revolution pin boxes do not reduce the weight of the setup at all. Their primary function is to move the pivot point of the hitch back 22 inches so that you don't have cab interference with the hitch around corners. This is mainly intended for short bed trucks since the cab clearance is reduced on these trucks.
You will need to determine the weight of your trailer and then the towing capacities for your truck to determine if you would be okay to tow your trailer. The Husky Hitch part # HT31326-31314 has a 16k capacity and would be a good hitch for if your trailer weighs less than 16k.
You will also want a Husky wedge part # SWW-04.
