Selecting Skid Wheels for 2008 Jayco Jay Feather 23B Travel Trailer

Question:

Can the UF48-979012 5inch skid wheel be used on 23 foot camper? We think we need a big wheel because the black water pipe and v shaped brackets on the bottom of frame are not clearing our driveway entrance. We are coming in from hard angle. Also, passenger side is up on drive sooner than opposite side by several feet. Would this be torqsion problem?

You certainly can use Ultra-Fab Skid Wheels # UF48-979012 on your 2008 Jayco Jay Feather 23B. Skid wheels are not really vehicle- or trailer-specific since as you point out driveways and approach angles can be all over the board. Naturally you'll want to use a skid wheel that is large enough to prevent bottoming out of your trailer's important structures, such as your black water pipe. (Nobody likes a broken black water pipe!)

You do not have to worry about torsion forces on the trailer frame since the skid wheels will make only very brief contact with the ground.
