Should a Sidewinder Pin Box Replacement Get Greased
Question:
I installed a sidewinder, torqued all bolts to specs and greased the turret, first trip was good now when I turn the sidewinder makes a terrible groaning noise. Do I need to clean and re grease or should I not use grease at all? What grease do you recommend and how often do I have to take it apart and grease? Thanks,

Yes, you will need to grease the skid plate and around the wedge on the Sidewinder. I have included a picture from the instructions for Sidewinder # RP61412 showing where the grease needs to go. You can use grease # L11390.
I attached a picture that shows the areas of the turret that you should apply white lithium grease to like part # L11354.
Try greasing all of those areas to see if that stops the noise.
