Fit of Curt Class III Trailer Hitch on 2010 Audi Q5 S-Line

Question:

I recently purchased a 2010 Audi Q5 S-Line and am looking to install a hitch. From what I have seen on your website, it looks like the hitches for the 2010 model will not fit with the S-Line bumper, which has a removable panel for the hitch to come out from. It appears, that the later model yearsfoot hitches would fit with the 2010 S-Line bumper, but I am not sure of this. What would you recommend?

According to Curt Manufacturing, the only fit exclusion for their # C13136 is the Hybrid model. From what I was told, the S-Line provides a removable portion of the bumper cover for a OEM or factory hitch to pass through. An aftermarket hitch like the Curt would sit under the bumper. The notation you saw was for a 2012+ Q5.

Because the Curt hitch warranty requirements stipulate that the # 18050 stabilizing strap must be used for non-trailer loads like bike racks or cargo carrying trays, I'd recommend you go with the Draw-Tite # 75708, which has no such requirement.
